With approximately 500 active volunteers, C2C has one of the largest volunteer corps of any organization in Montgomery County — but the number of students in need is even greater. We are always looking for qualified individuals to meet the needs of our expanding and growing programs in the community. Become a C2C volunteer and change a life!

VOLUNTEER OVERVIEW

  • Become a Community Coach

Community Coaching is an 8 week program that pairs advanced ESL and GED/College Prep students with a volunteer community coach. The coach is an experienced professional who can assist students with a specific professional goal, from writing a resume to preparing for an interview.

Community coaching is designed for students who can advance in their professional lives with 1:1 mentoring and support. This is supplemental to progress made in the classroom, and takes a holistic approach to make sure that after completing their classes, students are set up for success.

  • Train to be a Teacher Assistant

Our classes served over 2500 students this past academic year, both online and in-person. We found success not only in the strength of certified Instructors, but in the dedication and service of volunteer Teaching Assistants. TAs are crucial to instruction as they participate in the planning and execution of instruction. TAs are asked to devote at least 3.5 hours a week, which is typically one class plus a planning session.

  • Become A Board Member

We are always looking for good candidates for our Board of Directors. We are especially eager to gain members who are Prince George’s County residents and/or who have a legal, communications, or business background. If interested, please click the button below to send us your resume.
